Most recently, in 2018, I graduated from a postdoctoral training institute at New York University called The NYU Postdoctoral Program in Psychotherapy and Psychoanalysis. This is an intensive training program that requires a PhD and several years of postgraduate level coursework, clinical work, supervision and personal analysis.

I received a Masters degree in Social Work at New York University in 2007.

I received a PhD in American Civilization at Brown University in 2000. This program is an interdisciplinary one that blends humanities with social science and social history. My work there was focused primarily on the study of gender and sexuality, social theory, and studies of U.S. media culture.
